For those with five to ten years of experience $103,000 (INR 83.96 lacs), for those with 11 to 15 years of experience $137,000 (INR 1.13 crores), for those with 16 to 20 years of experience $161,000 (INR1.29 crores) and those with over 20 years experience $196,000 (INR 1.57 crores).

A person well-versed in accounting will prepare financial statements and reports for clients or businesses. Recording the daily expenditures by clients or company management, developing, forecasting and checking budgets, and preparing good and services tax (GST) and other returns such as surveys and tax forms. Accountants also help their clients in advising financial aspects of a business such as tax, cashflows and budgets.

For an accountant in New Zealand, you can increase your pay in different ways–from changing your employer to earning another degree in education. Changing your employer or considering a career move might allow you to explore higher salaries for your skills.
